Time to start the warmup for the Carnivals!

Of course it's nice to have some schnaps to keep warm ;)

Vienna (3-5.11.2007)

After hard celebrations of my birthday I decided to go to Vienna. Thanks to Krisztina I had a place to sleep and also as a "local person" she showed me around the city.

So next spam of pictures:

Of course I also tried Wienerschnitzer, Sachertorte and the local beer :)
On saturday evening we also visited "Escape" (a local heavy bar) with some friends of Kriszti. The DJ was some finnish songs and many of the people I met were studying Fennistics. Was a fun night ;)

Rappenlochschlucht (28.10.2007)

Since it was a nice day (sun was sometime visible ;), I decided to go and see Rappenlochschlucht which is natural sight about 5km from Dornbirn. There's not much to tell so I'll let the pictures speak from themselves.

Oktoberfest @ FH Vorarlberg (11.10.2007)

We also had a little "Oktoberfest" party at the school. They also celebrated 10 years of student exchange in the FH so the ladies at the international office asked us to do somekind of performance to the party. We decided to do a short movie about the life of an exchange student in Dornbirn.

You can find a heavily packed version of the movie from here.

They also had some other performances there like dancing and some music from nearby.

(Just before presenting our movie... with Gerardo and Daniel)

Some Swiss (?) players.

(The guy who poured all the drinks... with Amaia and Camila)

People seemed to like our movie quite a lot, at least we got much of positive feedback. Thanks to everybody for the support!

After we presented the movie, I had to leave to "Conrad Sohm's" (a club in the mountains) to see Sportsfreunde Stiller. It was great too though I have no pictures from there.

The local paper wrote about the Oktoberfest:

Salzburg (22-23.9.2007)

First real weekendtrip for me. I went with Tirza (The Netherlands), Daniel (Mexico), Amaia (Basque) and Camila (Chile). This was really great since the girls spoke good german and also they made nice plans so me and Daniel only needed to look stupid and enjoy the trip ;) After the long trip in the railway-station (Amaia & Daniel missing):

In the pic with the local people ;)

The house where Mozart lived (and finally Daniel managed to catch us)

There were so much people going around the streets, even at the night.

I guess only the ladies had fun ;)

They also had many performances around the city. Many people were dressed in a traditional costumes and the people in performances had really nice costumes also.

At the hostel (end of day one)
